SKC Foundation
“
Distinguished guests, esteemed sponsors, golf enthusiasts, and valued supporters, it is my honor to welcome you to this momentous occasion as we tee off for a noble cause.
As the chairperson of the Saulos Klaus Chilima Foundation board of trustees, I am humbled to see such a remarkable turnout of support for our drive to purchase dialysis machines and patient monitoring machines for selected public hospitals in Malawi.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to our esteemed sponsors, whose generosity and commitment to giving back to the community have made this initiative possible. Your contributions will go a long way in improving healthcare services for those in need.
You may wonder why golf? Well, our late Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima, a philanthropist at heart, often said that golf was more than just a game - it was a platform to connect with like-minded individuals and corporates who share our passion for giving back.
He leveraged golf tournaments like this one to reach out to organized corporates and raise resources for charity. And today, we continue his legacy by using this platform to make a tangible difference in the lives of Malawians.
As we embark on this journey to improve healthcare in Malawi, we are reminded that together, we can achieve far more than we ever could alone.
Thank you once again to our sponsors, golfers, and supporters. Let us make a difference, one swing at a time.

How the tournament is played

What is Stableford?
Individual Stableford is a popular golf scoring format where players earn points based on their net score (strokes adjusted by handicap) on each hole, rather than counting total strokes. The goal is to accumulate the highest point total - making it exciting from start to finish.
Winning
The player with the highest total points over 18 holes wins the tournament.
Faster Play
Players may pick up their ball if they cannot score on a hole.
Handicap Use
Strokes are allocated based on your handicap, applied to each hole.
Inclusive
Players of all abilities compete fairly side-by-side.
